Interschool Chess Challenge

The Sydney Academy of Chess has organised a local heat for this year's Interschool Chess Challenge. TEPS Chess Club members have been invited to attend this year' s event. This event is endorsed by the NSW Junior Chess League and is a great opportunity for your child to challenge themselves and their chess skills against students from other schools around the Central Coast area. Students will participate in a 7-round 'Swiss' competition, meaning all students will play all 7 games (no knock-outs). Chess clocks will be used in the event with a short demonstration at the beginning of the day for students who have not played chess using a chess clock. Each game will run for 30minutes (15 minutes per player per game). There will be a lunch break and short breaks between each round. Students must bring their lunch, recess, bottle of water and be wearing full school uniform, including school hat.
