Our school has been celebrated as one of NSW’s most improved, with exceptional results in reading and numeracy attributed to our commitment to explicit teaching, high expectations, and a strong culture of wellbeing and belonging.
These stories reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers, and the support of our wonderful community — all working together to make The Entrance Public School a place where every child can thrive.
Meet Murphy – Our Therapy Dog 🐾
Murphy is a much-loved member of The Entrance Public School community. Calm, gentle, and full of personality, Murphy supports student wellbeing by bringing comfort, confidence, and joy to our classrooms and playgrounds.
As a trained therapy dog, Murphy helps students regulate emotions, build social skills, and develop positive relationships. Whether he’s greeting students at the gate, sitting in on reading sessions, or simply offering a friendly paw, Murphy reminds us all of the power of kindness and connection.
Murphy is more than just a school dog — he’s part of what makes TEPS a caring and inclusive place to learn and grow.
“We’ve watched our child’s confidence and learning take off since joining TEPS. The focus on explicit teaching and wellbeing has made such a difference — it’s a school that really knows how to help every child thrive.” — Tara Hau -The Entrance Public School
